Samantha is a Long Island, New York landscape photographer. She is always searching for landscape images finding light within darkness. Here you are able to browse through some of her favorite images. Samantha’s favorite views are seascapes, starry nights and vivid landscapes.
Samantha has always had a love of photography from a young age. Her grandmother is really the person who instilled how important taking photos of family is. Every time she would visit her she would have us sit for a photo. Looking back on this now I understand why.
In High School Samantha was able to take a photography class, using a camera the school supplied with a roll of black & white film. She would take photos of her best friend then go back to class and learn how to develop the film. Samantha still has those photos to this day.
Samantha got married just over a year out of High School and was lucky to raise 4 wonderful children. Needless to say photography wasn’t pursued at that time. A couple of years after her first Granddaughter was born she was able to cut back her work hours. This left a lot of free time to go out and explore local beaches, trails and nature preserves. Samantha’s current gear is a Nikon Z7, Vanguard tripod and her favorite photography tool the PlatyPod .
Samantha’s work has been featured:
